Exclusive uban furniture by Henraux for Selfridges London

Henraux collaborates to the design and creates two extraordinary elements of London's urban furniture, for Selfridges London.

The marble fountain and bench are both placed in front of Selfridges department stores. Designed by the architecture and landscape studio Djao-Rakitine in collaboration with the London architecture firm David Chipperfield Architects, both elements were carved from a single block of Verde Luana marble, a stone born in the Apuane Alps characterized by an intense green color and white wavy veins.

The choice of marble for the creation of the bench and fountain was not a coincidence; Verde Luana has been used to best evoke the mountains, water and topography of this central area of London and also to compliment the appearance of the new Eastern entrance in Selfridges. The marble bench and fountain beautifully integrate with the architecture of the urban area and with the architectural structure of the building itself.
